3770169 - The external user was not created because of an internal error - Onboarding

After onboarding is initiated from Recruiting, validation errors occur for every candidate. The affected candidates are not visible on the Onboarding Dashboard.

Error message: "The external user was not created because of an internal error. Please try again later. UUID: [value]"

Error log entry: "Invalid HRIS element specified in the transformation mapping: object name. Only use hris-elements/fields from a pre-defined set."

SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding

1. Initiate onboarding for a candidate from Recruiting.
2. Confirm that the initiation completes successfully.
3. Navigate to the Onboarding Dashboard and observe that the candidate is not listed.
4. Check Business Process and confirm the error: "The external user was not created because of an internal error."

The Candidate to Employee Integration Template in Provisioning contains an invalid transformation mapping that references the HRIS element "objectname". This element is not part of the supported set and causes the external user creation to fail during the Onboarding initiation flow.

1. In Provisioning, navigate to Recruiting and open the Candidate to Employee Integration Template.
2. Export the template XML.
3. In the XML, locate any mapping that references the HRIS element "objectname".
4. Remove the invalid mapping and save the corrected XML.
5. Import the corrected XML back into the Candidate to Employee Integration Template.
6. Perform an OData cache refresh.
7. In Business Process, use Manage Process Task to retry the failed Onboarding process for the impacted candidates using the Job ID.
8. Confirm that the external user is created and the candidate appears on the Onboarding Dashboard.
