3770180 - Error " Costing variant ZPC1 cannot be used for marking allowance in ledger 4G"

• During marking allowance in a standard cost estimate, the system shows: "Costing variant ZPC1 cannot be used for marking allowance in ledger 4G" (Message no. FPC_MARK_ALLOWANCE010).
• Changing the costing variant for ledger 4G to 4GL1 allows marking to be released.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Open the app 'Manage Costing Runs - Estimated Costs'.
2. Create a new costing run and choose costing variant ZPC1.
3. Maintain and run the selection, costing, and analysis parameters.
4. In Marking Authorization, select costing variant ZPC1 for ledgers 0L, 2L, and 4G: the error occurs. If the costing variant for ledger 4G is changed to 4GL1, marking can be released.

ZPC1 is configured for legal valuation and can only be used with ledgers that support legal valuation. Ledger 4G is for group valuation and requires a costing variant configured for group valuation.

1. Use or create a costing variant configured for group valuation and assign it to ledger 4G 
2. Run separate costing runs for each valuation:
   1. Run legal valuation ledgers (for example, 0L, 2L) with the legal valuation variant (for example, ZPC1).
   2. Run ledger 4G with the group valuation variant.
3. In Marking Authorization, select the legal valuation variant for legal ledgers and the group valuation variant for ledger 4G.
4. Release marking for each run so the price change is recorded in the respective ledgers, including 4G.
