Symptom

After upgrading the BW Support Package, a previously working BW query raises the following error:

"Hierarchy ""// does not exist for InfoObject <InfoObject> (Message No. BRAIN037)". 

The error appears even though:

  • The affected characteristic does not have any hierarchy assigned.
  • No hierarchy is being used or referenced in the query definition for the mentioned characteristic.
