3770682 - Integer custom field in performance form accepts decimals instead of whole numbers

Symptom

In PM template, a custom field of type integer accepts decimal values when saving the performance form; integer should only accept whole numbers.

Environment

  • SAP SuccessFactors Performance & Goals

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open a performance form that includes a custom field configured with type = integer in the PM template.
  2. Enter a decimal value in the integer field.
  3. Save the form: the decimal value is saved without validation error.

Resolution

It is expected behavior that the custom element 'Integer' can support decimal digits.

System treats it more like a general numeric input so both integers and decimals can be entered and saved without triggering an error.

This is the current system design and not a defect at the moment as there is no configuration in the template itself to block decimal entry for integer field.
