3770821 - Unable to Create User Status for Equipment in SAP S/4HANA Cloud, Public Edition

Symptom

  • Users are unable to create or assign a User Status for Equipment master data.
  • The system does not provide an option to define or maintain a status profile for Equipment, preventing the use of custom user statuses at the equipment level.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition.

Cause

This functionality is not supported in the current scope of SAP S/4HANA Cloud, Public Edition.

User status profiles cannot be assigned to Equipment master data.

Resolution

This is a product limitation.

Currently, SAP S/4HANA Cloud, Public Edition does not support user status management for Equipment.

As a result:

  • It is not possible to create or assign a status profile to Equipment.
  • No configuration or authorization changes can enable this functionality.

Recommendation:
If this functionality is required, submit a feature request through the SAP Customer Influence Portal to request enhancement of this capability.
