3770955 - Suffix in General Display Name (Header) and Formal name fields do not translate

When switching between locales via settings > change language, it is observed that the suffix is not translated in the general display name/formal name. In other words, the suffix does not translate in the Employee Name visible in Header and People Search.

1. Verify picklist translations of suffix values.
2. Confirm the suffix in default company locale via provisioning (English US)
3. 
4. Switch to another language via Settings > Change Language e.g. German
5. Observe the suffix only translates via the 'suffix' field.

This is expected behavior.

The suffix value is a once-off calculation i.e. will not translate via GDN nor Formal Name.

For the value Formal Name and General Display Name, which are observed in header and global search, this value is a once-off calculation.

The value shown is based solely off the default language maintained in Provisioning.

How can I translate the suffix value in GDN and Formal Name?

This can only be done by:

1. Changing default locale via provisioning
2. Refreshing General Display Name via Company system and logo settings
3. Note: Changing the default language will apply the translation across all locales in the instance, regardless of language selected via settings e.g:
