3771053 - Sum stops at prep_extract/sumask Phase with "password for user 'system' is invalid" and jdbc connection lost

Symptom

  • SUM stops in phase PREP_EXTRACT/SUMASK.
  • SUMASK.LOG shows: “Password for user ‘SYSTEM’ is invalid!” and “Password for user ‘SAPBP2’ is invalid!”.
  • JDBC error in logs: “DBTech JDBC: Cannot connect to jdbc:sap://: [Connection to database server lost; an existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host].
  • HDB_VALIDATE_PASSWORD.LOG file shows:

    EXECUTING <JAVA_PATH>\java.EXE -cp <SUM_LIB_PATH>\com.sap.hdb.sl.lib.jar;<SUM_LIB_PATH>\com.sap.hdb.core.jar com.sap.hdb.core.main.cmd.HdbCmdMain "HDB_CMD_CLAZZ_NAME=IS_CONNECT_POSSIBLE" "DATABASE_SID=<SID>" "DATABASE_HOSTNAME=<HOSTNAME>" "INSTANCE_NUMBER=<INSTANCE_NO>" "DATABASE_SQL_USER_NAME=<DB_USER>" "READ_FROM_STDIN=TRUE" "JDBC_PATH=<JDBC_PATH>" "ENCRYPT_PROPS=sslKeyStore=<PSE_PATH>,sslCryptoProvider=commoncrypto,sslTrustStore=<PSE_PATH>,ENCRYPT=TRUE" "PORT=<PORT>"

    class com.sap.hdb.sl.lib.utils.cmd.clazz.CmdClazzParameterFactory, parameters received. Start execution. Check HdbCmdOut.log and HdbStdout.txt for further information.

    Use Java process call.

    Execute command:
    sapgenpse.exe export_p12 -z * -p <PSE_PATH> hdbkeystore.p12

    export_p12: Couldn't open PSE "<PSE_PATH>" (Wrong PIN/Passphrase, no credentials found)

    Error:
    "sapgenpse export_p12 ... Couldn't open PSE ... (Wrong PIN/Passphrase, no credentials found)"
