3771082 - Updates to candidate name via API after onboarding initiation not reflected in onboarding UI - Onboarding

• An onboardee is created and initiated successfully via external ATS integration.
• Later, an update with changed first name and/or last name is sent from the external ATS.
• Integration middleware updates the onboardee via SuccessFactors API and returns success.
• API queries show the updated first and last name values stored correctly.
• The Onboarding UI continues to display the original first and last name from the initial creation, not the updated values.

SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding

1. Create and initiate an onboardee via external ATS so that the record is created in Onboarding.
2. After initiation, send an update from the external ATS changing the onboardee’s first name and/or last name.
3. Allow the integration to call the SuccessFactors API to update the onboardee.
4. Verify via API that first and/or last name are updated.
5. Open the Onboarding UI and observe that the name still shows the original values from initiation.

Expected behavior

Once an onboarding process has been initiated, the Onboarding module does not support updating candidate data displayed in the Onboarding UI through external API integrations. Any changes required after initiation must be made directly within the SuccessFactors Onboarding application, such as through Review New Hire Data, Personal Data Collection, or other applicable onboarding activities.
