3771106 - Just Ask does not reflect updated measure scale from model - SAP Analytics Cloud

Symptom

  • Updating a measure’s Scale in the model is not reflected in Just Ask results.
  • A calculated measure set to scale “thousand” in the model is displayed as “million” in Just Ask.
  • Expectation: Just Ask should inherit and display the model-defined scale consistently.
  • No error messages are shown.

Environment

SAP Analytics Cloud 2026.8.10

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open a model in the modeler.
  2. In Calculations, configure a calculated measure with Scale set to “thousand”.
  3. Open Just Ask and query the measure (for example, “show [measure] by [dimension]”).
  4. Observe that the chart displays values with a “million” scale instead of “thousand”.
  5. Open Data Analyzer from the same model and observe the measure displays with the “thousand” scale.

Cause

Just Ask automatically scales values to improve readability. When values are broken down by dimension or filtered, the data range may change. To maintain clear and readable data labels, Just Ask dynamically adjusts the scaling based on the displayed data.
