3771108 - "Activate Mobile App" is Visible in One Instance but not in the Other

Symptom

On the login screen, "Activate Mobile App" is available in one instance, but not in another.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors HCM Core

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Navigate to the login screen on SAP SuccessFactors
  2. Observe there is an "Activate Mobile App" function displaying
  3. Navigate to the login screen on SAP SuccessFactors on a different instance
  4. Observe there is no "Activate Mobile App" function displaying

Cause

  • With IAS/SSO enabled, the login experience uses the newer authentication flow.
  • On environments without IAS (legacy login), the option is expectedly visible.

Resolution

Due to the deprecation of Basic Authentication and Third-Party Corporate Identity Provider (IdP) Direct Integration with SAP SuccessFactors HCM suite, it is recommended for customers to utilise IAS/SSO here.
