3771118 - STPO (stored procedure) activation fails in SE14 due to duplicate index name (qxxstpo-001) when adding a custom field - SAP s/4hana cloud private edition

Symptom

  • Error occurs when adding a custom field to the standard STPO table.
    SQL Exception with SQL code 289
    cannot use duplicate index name: QxxSTPO~001 
  • During activation, an error related to index QxxSTPO-001
  • SE14/table adjustment for STPO fails with duplicate index name errors.
  • Subsequent dumps occur in standard transactions after the failed activation.
