3771170 - Layout Changes disappear after exiting Adaptation Mode

• In SAP Sales and Service Cloud V2, layout modifications made to an entity are not persisting.
• Changes appear correctly during the layout adjustment/adaptation session but disappear immediately after exiting the adaptation mode.
• The newly created section and fields are missing; the layout reverts to its previous state.

1. Navigate to the Functional Location screen.
2. Enter Layout Adjustment / Adaptation Mode.
3. Select the Blue Detail panel.
4. Add a new section to the panel and add fields to this new section.
5. Save/Publish the changes and exit Layout Adjustment mode.
6. Observe that the newly created section and fields are missing and the layout reverts to its previous state.

A change project was not checked out after the extensibility initial load, preventing layout changes from being persisted.

1. Ensure the extensibility initial load has completed.
2. Check out an existing change project or create a new change project before making any system changes.
3. Re-enter Adaptation Mode for the Functional Location page.
4. Add the required section and fields, then Save/Publish and exit Adaptation Mode.
5. Verify the layout changes persist for users.
