3771223 - MaxDB: Backup to network share fails with 'createfile (write, create)' error

Symptom

  • Unable to perform MaxDB backups when the backup medium points to a network share.
  • Backup fails immediately with the error: "CreateFile (WRITE, CREATE) returned 'The security ID may not be assigned as the owner of this object.' (1307)"
  • Backup execution succeeds when the target is a local drive.
  • Failure occurs only when writing to the network share.
