3772010 - Unposted Source Document Error: Currency Conversion Failed due to Missing Exchange Rates. Maintain the Exchange Rates for Conversion from ABC to XYZ for Mid Rate

There is an unposted source document with the error message : 

Currency conversion failed due to missing exchange rates. Maintain the exchange rates for conversion from ABC to XYZ for Mid Rate

ABC means the Source Currency.

XYZ means the Target Currency.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Navigate to the General Ledger work center.
2. Go to the Closing Cockpit view.
3. Select the Source Documents subview.
4. Search for Unposted Source Document ID.
5. Error message : 
   Currency conversion failed due to missing exchange rates. Maintain the exchange rates for conversion from ABC to XYZ for Mid Rate

The error occurs because the currency conversion profile DEF determines the conversion date (Posting Date, Document Date, or Source Document Conversion Date) and exchange rate type for the business transaction, but no valid exchange rate is maintained for the source and target currencies on the determined conversion date and exchange rate type .

As a result, the system is unable to find a valid exchange rate for the configured exchange rate type and conversion date in the currency conversion profile, leading to the error .

To check the valid exchange rate type and conversion date :

1. Go to the Business Configuration work center.
2. Select the View Implementation Projects.
3. Choose option Open Activity List.
4. Show All.
5. Find Currency Conversion Profiles activity.
6. Open the Activity.
7. In new screen, find Currency Conversion Profiles DEF and click to open.
8. Here check that Business Transaction Type for the profile DEF uses the Posting date/Document date/Conversion date.

To maintain exchange rate from ABC to XYZ as of conversion date :

1. Go to the General Ledger work center.
2. Open the Edit Exchange Rates view in the Common Tasks section.
3. Maintain the relevant exchange rate between Source Currency: ABC to Target Currency: XYZ with determined conversion date and exchange rate type .
4. click Save and Close.

Now post the Unposted Source Document.
