3772081 - Initial Load for Page layouts and Assignment Rule fails

Symptom

  • Initial load for Page Layouts and Assignment Rules service fails.
  • Error message: “Change project requests timed out.”

Environment

SAP Sales Cloud and SAP Service Cloud Version 2

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to System Settings
  2. Go to Change Project settings
  3. Go to Registered Services view
  4. Start the initial load for Page layouts and Assignment Rule service.
  5. Observe that the process fails, and/or a timeout occurs with the message “Change project requests timed out.” within the logs.

Cause

No page layouts and no assignment rules are configured, so the initial load fails because there is no configuration to copy from the source.

Resolution

This is expected behavior when no entry exists. Create at least one page layout and one assignment rule in the source system.
