• When making a payment to an employee, the system does not retrieve the identification document (national id) that should flow from SuccessFactors via MDI to the finance system.
• The issue occurs in the Business Scenario "Workforce Replication from EC to SAP Master Data Integration".
• No specific error message or error code is displayed.

OneMDI Business Scenarios: Workforce Replication from EC to SAP Master Data Integration

1. Maintain a worker’s national identification data in the SuccessFactors system.
2. Run the Business Scenario “Workforce Replication from EC to SAP Master Data Integration”.
3. Open the replication execution and review the outbound/inbound payloads.
4. Observe that national id data is not present in the payloads replicated to MDI.
5. In S4 system, observe the identification document is not available.

This is an expected behavior.

By design, national id information is not replicated to MDI. There is no standard entity in MDI for national id, and adding custom/extension entities outside the standard scope is not supported.

MDI was not intended to hold all employee data like SF. Just the data necessary to allow replication to S/4 and other consumers. Given this limitation, the most practical path would be to migrate or replicate national ID data to S4 using an alternative integration method, such as via CPI with Master Data replication, if that is feasible for your landscape.
