Symptom
- Two different systems are configured for standard events on a tenant.
- Standard events do not work when both systems are active.
- After deactivating one system, the standard event monitor shows events are working.
Environment
SAP Sales & Service Cloud Version 2 - Standard Events
Reproducing the Issue
- Configure two different communication systems for standard events on a tenant.
- Keep both systems active and observe that standard events are not working.
- Deactivate one of the systems.
- Verify that the standard event monitor shows events are working.
Cause
Only one active communication configuration “Send Events to External Systems” with service “Publish Events to External Systems Using Event Bridge” is supported per system.
Resolution
- Ensure that only one communication configuration “Send Events to External Systems” with service “Publish Events to External Systems Using Event Bridge” is active in the system.
- Deactivate any additional “Send Events to External Systems” communication configurations to prevent conflicts.
- If events must be delivered to multiple target systems, use SAP Integration Suite Advanced Event Mesh to distribute (fan out) subscribed events from the source system to multiple targets. Below is a sample arch diagram
- Validate in the standard event monitor that events are published successfully after the change.
