3772283 - Custom MDF Object with sequence rule is skipping the next sequence number

•  Sequence Object (Get Next Value) increments twice when MDF object is submitted with workflow.
•  Sequence numbers are skipped for every request submitted through workflow, causing gaps in document numbering.

SAP SuccessFactors HCM Core

1. Login to the instance
2. Go to People Profile
3. Find the custom MDF portlet with the sequence workflow configuration
4. Insert a new data
5. Submit the data which will generate a workflow
4. Observe that the business rule is executed twice during a single save/submission.
5. Sequence Object consumes two values and the generated sequence skips one sequence number.

This is a known product limitation and no future plans to be enhanced yet due to some technical reasons.
