3772601 - Can SAP Customer Data Cloud limit the size of JWTs generated by accounts.getJWT or allow changing the signing algorithm to reduce token length?

Symptom

Customers integrate SAP Customer Data Cloud with external or downstream applications that impose a maximum field length for storing or processing tokens (for example, 255 characters).

JWTs generated by the accounts.getJWT API exceed the allowed size of the receiving application.

Is there a way to:

  • limit the size of JWTs generated by accounts.getJWT;
  • enforce a maximum JWT length; or
  • use a signing algorithm other than RS256 to reduce JWT size.
