3772615 - Request for Functionality to Capture Upload User ID in SAC Planning Data Upload

- Request for a functionality in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) Planning to capture the User ID of the person uploading data.
- Need for a dedicated dimension/column in the planning model to automatically populate with the User ID during the data upload process.
- Existing functions capture upload date/time but not the User ID.

SAP Analytics Cloud

The upload framework currently supports:

-Upload job templates
-Data wrangling and transformations
-Validation settings
-Mapping uploaded data to fact data in planning models

However, we could not identify any standard function, system variable, or transformation capability that automatically retrieves and writes the current SAC user (for example, a CURRENT_USER()-type function) into a model field during the upload process.

Additionally, the product documentation does not mention support for automatically mapping uploaded records to the current uploader’s User ID.

This is a product limitation rather than a configuration issue.
