3773072 - Error 'status: user not unique' in User role assignment upload due to mismatched user id

• Uploading business user role assignments fails for some users.
• The upload shows the error message: "Status: User Not Unique".

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Open the Maintain Business Users app.
2. Choose Upload -> Upload User Role Assignments.
3. Download the template.
4. Fill the template with user data (for example: User ID, Email) and Business Role IDs.
5. Upload the file.
6. Validate and import.
7. Observe that the system displays a larger number of users changed than those included in the file.

The user id in the upload file does not match the system’s user id for the specified user name, resulting in a non-unique user reference.

1. Edit the upload spreadsheet and remove the User ID column or leave the User ID field empty for all rows (the field is optional).
2. Alternatively, verify the correct user id for each user in the system and ensure the user id in the file exactly matches the system record for the given user name.
3. Save the file and re-upload the user role assignments.
4. Confirm that the upload completes without the error.
