3773125 - Service Session has timed out error due to a short Session Timeout setting in SICF

Symptom

  • When accessing a Webservice, such as: https://[hostname]/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/webgui?sap-client=[client]&sap-language=EN

  • After a idle period, a small window will pop up displaying the message: "Service Session has timed out. Do you want to reload this page?"

       http/security_session_timeout
       icm/keep_alive_timeout
       rdisp/plugin_auto_logout
       rdisp/gui_auto_logout

  • After adjusting above parameters and make sure the timeout of above parameters is higher than the idle period, the Timeout issue still persists. 
  • There is no specific timeout maintained in the service(e.g. /sap/bc/gui/sap/its/webgui).
  • Need to figure out how to increase the Timeout duration.
