Symptom

  • When trying to run the Multi Action EVA, users are facing the Limited Data locking Permissions issue.
  • The error occurs because the Multi Action contains a Data Locking step, which requires explicit Data Locking permissions for the affected data slice.

Reproducing the Issue

User tried to run the Multi Action EVA with a planning standard license.

Cause

The failure occurs because the Multi Action contains a Data Locking step, which requires the executing user to have explicit Data Locking permissions for the affected data slice.

Resolution

  • Verify Data Locking ownership assignment in the model.
  • Ensure the executing user is assigned as Data Locking Owner or has appropriate Manager/Full Data Access rights.
  • Confirm the Multi Action is executed under a user with sufficient planning and locking privileges.
