3773495 - Possible solution to optimize the performance tuning of migration CL_SDM_FOT_RECON

Symptom

The SDMI migration class CL_SDM_FOT_RECON is running significantly longer than expected during SUM phase MAINPOSTPROC/RUNSDMIPOSTPROCESSING.

Observed symptoms include one or more of the following:

  • Jobs RSUPGJOB (client 000) and SAP_SDM_EXECUTOR_POS (client NNN) remain in Active status for several hours or days
  • Transaction SDM_MON shows a large number of remaining records for CL_SDM_FOT_RECON with slow or stalled progress
  • Increasing the maximum number of parallel processes in SDM_MON → Config Options produces no measurable improvement in throughput
  • Executing report R_SDM_ONLINE_EXEC (SE38) for the class manually does not change the migration pace
  • SUM post-processing is blocked and the upgrade cannot proceed to SPAU
