3773507 - Withholding tax amount not displayed correctly in Manage Supplier Line Items / Manage Customer Line Items app

• In the Manage Supplier Line Items or Manage Customer Line Items app, the withholding tax amount is displayed as 0 or is not displayed correctly for one or more supplier/customer line items.
• The withholding tax code and withholding tax base may be displayed correctly in the relevant journal entry, while the withholding tax amount in the Manage Supplier Line Items or Manage Customer Line Items app is displayed as 0.
• The issue may occur after clearing and subsequently resetting or reversing a payment document.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Open the Manage Supplier Line Items app/Manage Customer Line Items.
2. Filter for a supplier/customer and display open/cleared items.
3. Observe that for at least one document the Withholding Tax amount is not displayed in the line item list, while other documents for the same supplier/customer show a Withholding Tax amount.

• This behavior occurs when Extended Withholding Tax (EWT) is active.
• The withholding tax information is stored in the WITH_ITEM table, while the Manage Supplier Line Items and Manage Customer Line Items apps may use different withholding tax fields or display logic to determine the value shown in the line item list. As a result, the withholding tax amount displayed in these apps may not always be consistent with the actual Extended Withholding Tax information, particularly after subsequent clearing, reset, or reversal activities or when multiple withholding tax records exist for a line item.
• Therefore, the Withholding Tax Amount displayed in these apps may be incorrect or displayed as 0.

• The withholding tax amount displayed in the Manage Supplier Line Items and Manage Customer Line Items apps should not be considered the authoritative source for Extended Withholding Tax information.
• To verify the actual withholding tax details, use the Manage Journal Entries app or the I_WithholdingTaxItem CDS view.
• The responsible development team is working on improving the handling and display of Extended Withholding Tax information in the relevant line item apps.
