  Automated Reset of Obsolete SAP Notes

The upgrade process has been enhanced to include the automated reset of obsolete SAP Notes before SUM asks for the SPDD adjustment. This functionality is only available if, in phase INITSHD, you choose "Yes, SUM shall create a shadow system development user" and if the target release of the upgrade is at least SAP_BASIS 752. When this option is selected, SUM automatically creates a transport request to collect the objects for resetting SPDD-relevant obsolete SAP Notes notes in the target release. This means that, in the best case, when the SPDD dialog appears during phase ACT_UPG, there will be no entries regarding obsolete SAP Notes in SPDD.
