Unable to use Smart Insights for stories/models based on S/4HANA CDS query live models in SAC

SAP Analytics Cloud 2026.8.10

1. Login to SAC
2. Create a live model on top of S/4HANA CDS (analytical query).
3. Build or open a story based on this live model.
4. Attempt to use Smart Insights on a chart or data point

Notice : The Smart Insights option is unavailable/disabled.

Smart Insights is not supported for S/4HANA CDS-based live models.  

Use Smart Insights with direct live connections to SAP HANA, acquired data, Datasphere, or Seamless Planning models (with Optimized Story Experience).
