3773868 - Error reversing accounting document via released API I_JournalEntryTP~Reverse

The error message: K5 011 "VRGNG = TBRR cannot be reversed explicitly" occurs when attempting to reverse an accounting document via the released API I_JournalEntryTP~Reverse.

Meanwhile, the same document is successfully reversed through the standard app "Manage Journal Entries". 

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Attempt to reverse an accounting document via the released API I_JournalEntryTP~Reverse.
2. Observe the error message K5 011: "VRGNG = TBRR cannot be reversed explicitly".
3. Reverse the same document through the standard app Manage Journal Entries (F2740 / FB08) successfully. 

Missing functionality.

We examined the restriction that is preventing reversal via the API.

Event-Based Revenue Recognition does not yet support reversal by reference. As a result, both the API and the business object (I_JOURNALENTRYTP) cannot be used for reversal by prima nota reference.

As a workaround, please reverse the document using the “Manage Journal Entries” app.

The app can be used to reverse such documents; however, the option leveraged by the app is not permitted within the context of RAP business objects and is therefore not supported there.
