Symptom
Opportunity is not displayed as a Related Entity in Functional Location when it is linked from an Opportunity.
Environment
SAP Sales Cloud and SAP Service Cloud Version 2
Reproducing the Issue
- Go to Guided Selling.
- Open an Opportunity in detail view.
- Go to General Tab.
- Under Functional Locations section, click on Add Functional Locations.
- Choose an Active Functional Location and click on Apply.
- Notice that Functional Location is added.
- Navigate to Functional Locations Workcenter.
- Open the Functional Location that was added in the above Opportunity.
- Go to Related Entities Tab.
- Notice that the newly added Opportunity is not visible under the Opportunities section.
Cause
Using different Accounts on the Opportunity (Sales Entity) and the Functional Location (Service entity) breaks bidirectional binding between the entities.
Resolution
Ensure that the records of Sales and Service entities have the Account by following below steps:
- Open the Opportunity and note the Account assigned.
- Open the associated Functional Location and verify the Account assigned.
- If the Accounts differ, update one so that both the Opportunity and the Functional Location use the same Account.
- Save the changes.
- Reopen the Functional Location and check the Related Entities section to confirm the Opportunity is now visible.
