3773909 - Global Navigation Menu disappears after enabling User Experience Updates

After enabling "Enable SAP user experience updates" in Company Logo and System Settings, the Main Navigation Menu (global navigation) disappears from the Shell Bar on the home page of SAP SuccessFactors.

SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite

1. Disable "Enable SAP user experience updates" in Company Logo and System Settings and observe that the global navigation is visible.
2. Enable "Enable SAP user experience updates" in Company Logo and System Settings and observe that the global navigation is not visible.

• With the latest user experience updates, a top-level module with no accessible child pages caused the main navigation not to appear.
• The Time Management top-level module was accessible by permission, but its sub-pages were not accessible because the Permission Role’s "Target Population" did not include the users themselves.
• The "TIME_MANAGEMENT" module had no URL, which caused the backend API for the newer header to fail when parsing the menu.

For the latest visual updates, when a top-level module has no accessible child pages, it is rendered as a non-functional item instead of breaking the main navigation menu. Engineering will implement a fix for it on deployment plan: PTCH-50510 for 1H2026 (b2605p13):

• Preview on Jul-14-2026;
• Production on Jul-16-2026.

After the patch is available in the environment, re-enable "Enable SAP user experience updates" and verify the Main Navigation Menu appears in the Shell Bar.
