3774301 - Seamless Planning Model fails to load via hcs.cloud.sap Domain in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

Symptom

  • A tenant accessible via two domains (analytics.cloud.sap and hcs.cloud.sap) can load seamless planning models via the analytics.cloud.sap domain but fails via the hcs.cloud.sap domain.
  • Error "We couldn't connect to your SAP Datasphere tenant. For more information, see our troubleshooting page."
    "Failed to connect the Data Space associated with this model."
    "Facts could not be loaded."

Environment

SAP Analytic Cloud 2026.8.6

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Login to SAC 
  2. Access the seamless planning model with analytics.cloud.sap domain
    Notice : The model is opened successfully
  3. Access the same model with hcs.cloud.sap domain
    Notice : Error "We couldn't connect to your SAP Datasphere tenant. For more information, see our troubleshooting page."
    "Failed to connect the Data Space associated with this model."
    "Facts could not be loaded."

Cause

Trusted Origins in SAC were not configured to include both analytics.cloud.sap and hcs.cloud.sap domains, resulting in blocked cross-origin requests. 

Resolution

  1. Navigate to SAC System > Administration > App Integration > Trusted Origins
  2. Add the following entries:
    - https://*.hcs.cloud.sap
    - https://*.analytics.cloud.sap
