3774410 - Address description column missing in application Manage Business Partner Master Data

Symptom

The “Address Description” column is available in the Business Partner Partner Functions tab in the customizing system but not visible in the test and production systems.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open the “Manage Business Partner Master Data” app.
  2. Open any Customer Business Partner.
  3. Select the required BP Role.
  4. Navigate to the Sales Area Data tab.
  5. Open the Partner Functions section.
  6. Compare the available columns in customizing and test/production systems.
  7. Observe that the “Address Description” column is missing in test/production systems.

Cause

Multiple Address Handling configuration was not activated for customer master data and for SD documents using SAP BP in the affected systems, which prevents the “Address Description” column from appearing.

Resolution

Follow below steps for maintaining customer account group in Manage Your Solution' app:

  1. Open 'Manage Your Solution' app.
  2. Navigate to 'Configure Your Solution'.
  3. Search for the ID '105612' and '105611'
  4. Choose configuration activity '105612- Activate Multiple Address Handling for Customer Master Data in SAP BP' and '105611 -Activate Multiple Address Handling in SD Documents Using SAP BP'
  5. Maintain the flag as "ON".

Incase while using SAP Central Business Configuration (CBC) :

  1. Log on to the project experience in SAP Central Business Configuration.
  2. Select the relevant project.
  3. Navigate to the configurations activity tab.
  4. Search for the configuration activity '102741- Define Number Assignment for Direction BP to Customer' and '105611 -Activate Multiple Address Handling in SD Documents Using SAP BP'
  5. Select the configuration activity to navigate directly to the SAP S/4HANA Cloud system.
  6. Maintain the flag as "ON".

Once all the configuration is maintained, Transport the configuration to test and production for the the field visible in all the 3 Systems.
