3774649 - Can dummy tables from a SUM ZDO upgrade "Table with illegal database status - <TABLE>~~OLD table exists" workaround be safely deleted in HANA.

Symptom

  • During a SUM ABAP ZDO upgrade, SUM reports: "Found XX tables with illegal database status, see phase log 'EUSWITCHZDM.LOG' for details!" and "Error in SUM phase MAIN_SWITCH/EU_SWITCH: Table with illegal database status: '<TABLE>' exists, old table '<TABLE>~~OLD' exists not, new table '<TABLE>~' exists."
  • As par the workaround, dummy tables were completed to complete the upgrade. 
  • Can these dummy tables from the upgrade workaround be deleted after the upgrade is complete.
