3774729 - How to configure custom error pages for ICF service responses (401, 403, 404, 500)

Custom HTML error pages are required for HTTP errors returned by ICF services in the ABAP stack (for example, /sap/bc/...), instead of the default error pages delivered by SAP.

The following scenarios are typically affected:

• HTTP 401: Logon Error (authentication failed)
• HTTP 403: Forbidden (available as of SAP NetWeaver 756 SP10)
• HTTP 404: Not Accessible (the service does not exist or is inactive)
• HTTP 500: Application Error (caused by a short dump or unhandled exception during request processing)
• Logoff Page (displayed after an explicit logoff from an ICF service)

Note: the profile parameter icm/HTTP/error_templ_path, when configured on the ICM or SAP Web Dispatcher level, does not affect error responses produced by ICF services.
