3774822 - Can we restrict onSave business rules from triggering while changing the hire date using Hire Date Correction tool – SAP successfactors employee central

Multiple business rules run when updating an employee’s current hire date via the Hire Date Correction Tool.

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central - Hire Date Correction Tool

1. Go to Hire Date Correction and create a new correction.
2. Enter a correction name and select the target employee.
3. Set a new hire date.
4. Save the correction.
5. Multiple onSave rules are triggered.

Currently, there is no system-level configuration available to selectively prevent specific business rules from being triggered exclusively while changing the hire date of an employee using the Hire Date Correction tool because the Hire Date Correction tool automatically updates all connected data elements like Employment Info, Job Information and Compensation Information, Recurring Pay Components etc.

The Hire Date Correction Tool runs by design with onSave business rules for all connected data elements it updates (for example, Employment Info, Job Information, Compensation Information, Recurring Pay Components etc.).

The only supported way as of now is to control this behavior is by disabling the specific rules before the Hire Date Correction and enabling them afterward.
