3775045 - Contact Persons Are Replicated Despite KUNNR (Customer Number) Filter

Symptom

  • In the Replication Framework (DRF), the filter object is configured on field KUNNR (Customer Number) using specific customer number filter values. Only the selected customer Business Partners are expected to be replicated.
  • However, when executing replication, the associated Contact Person Business Partners are also replicated, even though they do not directly match the configured KUNNR filter.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Cause

The KUNNR filter is evaluated only for the root Business Partner that has the Customer role. Contact Person Business Partners are related dependent objects of the customer Business Partner and are replicated together with their parent Business Partner to maintain relationship consistency.

Resolution

  • This is the standard behavior of the Data Replication Framework.
  • If Contact Person Business Partners should not be replicated, configure an additional filter criterion to exclude them. Add the filter value BPSEL = 1 so that only the required Business Partner category is selected for replication and Contact Person Business Partners are excluded.
  • By combining the KUNNR (Customer Number) filter with the BPSEL = 1 filter, only the intended customer Business Partners are replicated.
