Error while adding Alternative Cost Distribution in Global Assignment host profile when Latest Editing of object is enabled in FPP: Looks like something went wrong. Error code: 400

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central

1. In Configure People Profile, enable the latest viewing, editing, and history UI for the Alternative Cost Distribution portlet.
2. Navigate to a global assignment and open the host profile.
3. Attempt to add an Alternative Cost Distribution entry (for example, an alternate cost center).
4. Observe that the portlet fails to open or save, returning "Looks like something went wrong. Error code: 400". Back-end logs show BadRequest with message that the field is maintained only on the home assignment.

Public Sector content is still missing for Employee Cost Assignment and Higher Duty & Temporary assignment. Planned for 2H2026.

1. Maintain Alternative Cost Distribution values on the home assignment only. Do not update them on the host assignment of a global assignment.
2. Alternatively, use the standard configuration UI instead of the latest viewing, editing, and history UI for the Alternative Cost Distribution portlet in People Profile.
