3775411 - Project cost center and settlement rules not updated by Organizational Change

The 'Manage Organizational Changes' app process completes successfully, but the project cost center and WBS element settlement rules are not automatically updated. Settlement processing continues to execute using the old cost center assignment.

1. Run an organizational change using the 'Manage Organizational Changes' application.
2. Check the project’s General Information and the WBS Manage Settlement Rules.
3. Run settlement and review the resulting accounting entries.

This behavior is by design. Organizational change functionality does not automatically adjust existing cost centers and settlement rules for projects or WBS elements. This adjustment must be managed manually or programmatically.

1. To update the settlement rule with a new cost center, the change needs to be made manually using below steps:
   • Set a validity end date on the existing settlement rule for the old cost center
   • Create a new settlement rule for the new cost center, valid from the relevant period onwards
2. A mass change feature (Excel upload) is currently under development and not yet available. In the meantime, mass updates can be performed programmatically using the Project Settlement Rule API (API_PROJECTSETTLEMENTRULE) for overhead and investment projects.
