3775523 - List of Outbound Deliveries shows no details under Item Description or Material in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition.

Symptom

You notice that certain information, such as Material and Item Description, is not displayed in the General Outbound Delivery List even after adding the fields through Change Layout.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition.

Reproducing the Issue

Search for General Outbound Delivery List.

  1. Maintain a Sales Organization and click Execute.
  2. Click the Change Layout icon.
  3. Select the fields Material and Item Description and make them available in the current view.

Result:
After adding these fields to the layout, both Material and Item Description are displayed, but no data is populated in either field for the listed deliveries.

Cause

This is the expected system behavior.

Material and Item Description are item-level fields. In the default header view of the General Outbound Delivery List, item-level information is not populated. To display these fields and their corresponding values, users must switch to Item View.

Resolution

  1. Search for General Outbound Delivery List.
  2. Maintain a Sales Organization and click Execute.
  3. Click Item View.
    • The Material field is automatically displayed and contains visible data.
  4. Click the Change Layout icon.
  5. Select the Item Description field and make it available for the current view.

Result:

Material and Item Description remain blank in the header-level view because these fields are maintained at item level.
