3775724 - Change in Effective Status field is not recorded in Change Audit Report

Symptom

Changes to the effectiveStatus field in the MDF object (for e.g., Benefit Enrollment) are not captured in the Change Audit report, even though the field is set to visible. 

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors HCM Core

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Set the MDF Version History to “Complete History” in the MDF object (ex: Benefit Enrollment)
  2. Update the Effective Status on a Benefit Enrollment record
  3. Generate the Change Audit Report for MDF data changes
  4. Observe that the Effective Status change is not captured in the Change Audit report, while other field changes (for example, effective start date) are captured in the report. 

Cause

This issue is occurring due to a defect.

Resolution

Engineering team has fixed the issue via 2605p13 patch (PTCH-50578) which is planned to be deployed on:

  • 14th July in Preview instance
  • 16th July in Production instance.

After the fix, the changes to the effective status field will be captured in the Change Audit report, provided that the effectiveStatus field is marked as Visible and is not in a "From Parent" (effective dating) entity.
