3775826 - Extension Field Value Blank in Consumption for Cost Center

After selecting a value in the Extension field during Consumption for Cost Center, the field becomes blank instead of retaining the selection.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to Internal Logistics work center
2. Open Consumption for Cost Center under Common Tasks View.
3. Choose Posting Type: Goods Issue.
4. Enter relevant details Cost Center, Site, Product ID, Logistics Area ID and Quantity.
5. Choose Next.
6. In the Extension field ABC on the item row, enter or choose a value (ABC represents Extension field name).
7. The field becomes blank instead of retaining the selection.

• The Extension field has an extension scenario "Identified Stock - General Information to Goods and Activity Confirmation" active.
• The system expects the value to transfer from Identified Stock to Goods and Activity Confirmation
• In Identified Stock View no Source Extension field and Extension Scenario maintained.
• Therefore Extension field becomes blank instead of retaining the value.

To disable the Extension Scenario "Identified Stock - General Information to Goods and Activity Confirmation" follow the below steps,

1. Go to Internal Logistics work center.
2. Open Consumption for Cost Center under Common Tasks View.
3. Choose profile icon and Enable Start Adaptation mode under key user settings.
4. Choose Posting Type: Goods Issue.
5. Enter relevant details Cost Center, Site, Product ID, Logistics Area ID and Quantity.
6. Choose Next.
7. Choose Unnamed table in Adaptation.
8. Choose "+" icon and Select Extension Field.
9. Choose the Extension Field ABC and select Show Further Usage.
10. Go to Extension Scenarios tab.
11. Deactivate the extension scenario “Identified Stock - General Information to Goods and Activity Confirmation”.
12. Save and publish the changes.

Same steps for Consumption for Project.
