3776185 - Error Message "FAGL_POSTING008" When Enabling Open Item Management by Ledger Group for G/L Account — SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

• When setting Open Item Management by Ledger Group to true on a G/L account, saving the changes raises an error.
• The user followed the prerequisites required for changing the open item management by ledger group before the change can be done by SAP. 

- Account Group of G/L Account must be "SASL"
- G/L Account must be defined as non-tax relevant
- Normal OIM must not be active

• Error message FAGL_POSTING008 is prompted "Not possible to set Clearing Specific to Ledger Group" indicator as postings already made to this account.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Open maintenance for the relevant G/L account.
2. Set Open Item Management by Ledger Group to true.
3. Change the account group from SAKO to SASL.
4. Set Only Balance in Local Currency to yes.
5. Set the Tax Category to empty.
6. Save the changes.
7. An error is displayed and the changes are not saved.

G/L Accounts that already have postings and as a consequence already existing items can not be used for the activation of OIM by Ledger Group even if the balance of the respective G/L Account is Zero. 

1. Check across all connected systems (for example, customizing, test, and production) whether the G/L account has any postings at any time.
2. If any postings exist, do not attempt to activate Open Item Management by Ledger Group for this account; the change is not permitted and error will be raised. 
3. Create a new G/L account with no postings.
4. Configure the new G/L account with the required settings highlighted above before the postings to that account. 
5. Use the newly created G/L account for ledger-group-specific postings.
