Symptom
The “Link to Job Profile” is not visible for an affected user when viewing some other users in People Profile, even when Jobcode & Job Profile permissions are already assigned
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Talent Intelligence Hub and Job Profiles
Reproducing the Issue
- Log in as the affected user in the production environment.
- Open a target user’s People Profile and check the “Link to Job Profile”.
- Observe the link is missing for some target users.
- Check permissions for Jobcode and Job profile in RBP - all assigned
Cause
- The RoleEntity object was configured as RBP-secured while the affected user did not have permission on the Role object; with role-based job profiles, this prevents the Job Profile link from appearing.
- Additionally observed: “Role & Job Code Mapping” had been set to secured in Object Definition, which is not appropriate for this system-used object.
Resolution
For RoleEntity object was configured as RBP-secured: Grant Role object permission to affected users
- Create or update a permission role in Manage Permission Roles
- Select roles where affected users are included > Manage Job & Skill Profile Visibility
- Add Role
- Save
For Role & Job Code Mapping object was configured as RBP-secured: Set the object definition to not secured as this is system-used object
