Symptom
- The OCI PunchOut catalog is available in the Create Purchase Requisition app.
- When selecting Add from External Catalog and choosing the catalog, the system loads briefly, but the OCI PunchOut catalog does not open in a new browser window or tab.
- Users are unable to select items from the external catalog and transfer them to the purchase requisition.
- The expected behavior is that the OCI PunchOut catalog opens in a new browser window or tab after the catalog is selected.
- No error message is displayed.
Environment
SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition
Reproducing the Issue
- Configure an external oci punchout catalog.
- Open the purchase requisition app.
- Create a new purchase requisition.
- Select “add from external catalog”.
- Click the external catalog entry and observe that no new window/tab opens.
Cause
Missing “catalog url” entry in the catalog call structure within the “settings for web services” configuration for the oci punchout catalog.
Resolution
- Open the “settings for web services” application.
- Click Go to list existing catalogs.
- Select the relevant external oci punchout catalog and open its detail.
- In the Call Structure section, maintain the Catalog URL (target punchout landing URL as provided by the supplier).
- Ensure the HOOK_URL is maintained correctly as per the referenced notes.
- Save the configuration.
- Test by creating a purchase requisition, choosing “add from external catalog”, and launching the catalog to confirm the punchout opens in a new window/tab.
