Symptom
A customer who is synchronising Signavio Process Manager to SAP Solution Manager may see inconsistencies in SAP Solution Manager where Process Links do not appear in the expected places in their Solution data where a corresponding process with collapsed sub-processes have been synced from Signavio Process Manager successfully prior to this point into SAP Solution Manager
Reproducing the Issue
When the user has executed the steps below, they will experience this issue
- A user creates one or more collapsed sub-processes inside a model in Signavio Process Manager
- A user copies this model to another new model in Signavio Process Manager
- A user synchronises these models to SAP Solution Manager where the collapsed sub-processes should appear as Process Links on both models in SAP Solution Manager
Cause
Only when the user is creating new collapsed sub-processes by copying a model that contains one or more collapsed sub-processes in Signavio Process Manager, the new collapsed sub-processes are created successfully in Signavio Process Manager.
However, when business process model connector (BPMC) is used to sync these new collapsed sub-processes to SAP Solution Manager, it currently generates a technical ID for the new that is the same as the Process Link in Solution Manager that is used in the source collapsed sub-process.
This has the effect of moving the existing Process Link from the source process model to the new process model in SAP Solution Manager rather the creating a new Process Link against the new Process Model. This due to an issue in the formula used to generate the technical ID in BPMC.
Resolution
A fix for the current BPMC is planned to be delivered on in w/c July 6th 2026 that will resolve this issue.
After the fix is deployed, the next synchronisation run started after the release for each of a customers active synchronisation projects will delete and recreate all the technical IDs for process links in SAP Solution Manager. This will correct any existing inconsistencies and prevent the issue from happening again.
This will result in a longer runtime with an increased number of logs for Process Links for taht first sync run. After that, the synchronisation process will go back to its normal runtime and logs generated.
A customer does not need to take action prior to the release of the fix but does need to aware of an increase in the runtime of teh first synchronisation run to each of their sync projects after the fix has been delivered.
