3776543 - Sales organization visibility ignores rules when determining the default sales organization

Symptom

When a new quote is created, the sales organization determination ignores the configured sales organization visibility rules and always selects the globally configured default sales organization.

Environment

SAP CPQ

Reproducing the Issue

  1. In Setup under sales area for sales organizations, for example set global default sales organization to '0100'.
  2. For sales organization visibility, set a visibility rule that limits the user to a specific sales organization for example '1300'.
  3. Verify that, for the affected user, only sales organization 1300 is visible.

  4. Exit setup.
  5. Create a new project/quotation.
  6. Check the pre-populated sales organization on the newly created quote.
  7. The quote is created with sales organization 0100, which is configured as the global default, even though it is not available to the user according to the configured sales organization visibility rule.

Cause

  • Bug in application.
  • Sales organization determination applies the configured default without respecting sales organization visibility results.

Resolution

A code fix is planned for the SAP CPQ 2611 release tentative.
