Error message while approving Service Entry Sheet: "The task cannot be processed. For additional information, see the details. Error in update management for movement type (entry 101_ _O B _ V)." (Message M7226: Update control of movement type incorrect)

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Attempt to approve a Service Entry Sheet for a lean services purchase order item.
2. The system returns: "The task cannot be processed. For additional information, see the details. Error in update management for movement type (entry 101_ _O B _ V)."

The Subcontracting supplier flag was set in the Delivery Address tab of the linked purchase order item. This setting is not allowed for service items and leads to update control error M7226 during automatic goods receipt creation on approval.

1. Open the purchase order item linked to the affected Service Entry Sheet.
2. Go to the Delivery Address tab of that item.
3. Uncheck the Subcontracting supplier (SC Supp) flag.
4. Save the purchase order.
5. Retry approving the Service Entry Sheet and confirm that the approval (and automatic goods receipt) completes without error.
