3776653 - No link between Job Requestion and Position Object in Story Reporting - Recruiting Management

Symptom

When trying to build a Story Report starting from Job Requisition card, the option to link Position Object is not available or does not work.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Reporting
  2. Build a Story Report
  3. Select Job Requisition
  4. Link to Position is not available
  5. Notice that there is a card called JOB_REQ_std_position_obj but, if selected, there are no columns available for selection:

Cause

  • Position Object needs to be configured in Job Requisition template.
  • Story report cannot see this MDF Foundation Objects data in the data source and design page.

Resolution

  • Make sure that the Position Object is configured as per Employee Central documentation below:

  • To synch Recruiting and Object configuration run the job “Save Changes to Report Configuration Object Job” in Provisioning.
    This is also documented in the KBA from Analytics: 3216432 - Empty MDF Foundation Objects data appears in Story report when importing records with full purge type.

    Please note that only Partners have access to Provisioning.

    If assistance is required from Product Support to run the job in Provisioning, please create a ticket to Analytics using component LOD-SF-ANA-SAC-FWK.
    After running the job make sure that the “Refresh BizX Reporting Metadata” in Provisioning > “Configurations for Story Reports” is also done.
