3776664 - [Joule in SAP SuccessFactors] Add Metadata step loads indefinitely in Manage Document Grounding page

• In SuccessFactors -> Manage Document Grounding, after selecting the file to add the field's values to tag the file, the Add Metadata screen loads indefinitely and does not proceed.
• System logs indicate it is unable to load available field details required for tagging preparation.
• No error message or error code is displayed.

SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite

1. Open Manage Document Grounding > Select a file and proceed to add metadata values to tagging the files.
2. Observe that the page keeps loading indefinitely and never progresses for metadata details.

It is due to Missing field mappings in Edit Mappings, so the system could not load the available field details required for tagging.

1. In Admin Center, go to Manage Data and open UseCasesConfiguration record to confirm whether it is blank. Do not edit this record directly. (Note: do NOT make any modification for UseCaseConfiguration record )
2. Go to Manage Document Grounding and choose Edit Mappings.
3. Configure the required SF Data Model field mappings for your use case.
4. Save the mapping. This automatically creates/updates the UseCasesConfiguration record, do not maintain it directly in Manage Data.
5. Try adding the document again and the Add Metadata step should now load correctly.

If documents must be available to all employees, leave the mapping values empty in Add Metadata so availability is not restricted by metadata values.

Note:

The Manage Data > UseCaseConfiguration should always be managed through ”Edit Mapping“ from Manage Document Grounding. User should NOT update directly this configuration via Manage Data page to avoid data corruption. 

In UseCasesConfiguration record the Property represents the metadata fields of the SuccessFactors Document Grounding, while the Doc Property represents the mapped fields you selected from the affected SuccessFactors instance data model.
