3776870 - It is Not Possible to Change the Maintenance Mode of Sales Order Document Type

Symptom

An error Maintenance Mode cannot be changed. The document type is referred in one or more sales orders is trigger on changing the maintenance mode of sales order document type.

Environment

  • SAP Sales Cloud and SAP Service Cloud Version 2.
  • SAP Sales Cloud Version 2.
  • SAP Service Cloud Version 2. 

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the System Settings.
  2. Go to All Settings and search with Sales Order.
  3. Click on Document Types under the Sales Order.
  4. Select the document type ZABC (where ZABC represent the custom document type) and try to change the value of maintenance mode from the drop-down.
  5. An error Maintenance Mode cannot be changed. The document type ZABC is referred in one or more sales orders is triggered.
  6. Now go to the Sales Order view and click on All Sales Orders.
  7. Click on the Filter option.
  8. Search for the Document Type field and assign value ZABC in it and then click on apply.
  9. You will see there exist sales order PQR(where PQR represent sales order name) for the document type ZABC.

Cause

Since there exist sales order PQR for the document type ZABC, you are not allowed to make any changes within the maintenance mode of document type ZABC.

Resolution

This is an expected system behavior.
